School Days, School Daze.

My professor in Fashion Illustration seems to have the best quotes to live by, such as: (1) Fly with eagles (2) Always go above and beyond what is asked of you, and my fav. (3) DON'T LOSE YOURSELF.

It is SO easy to lose yourself in this industry, actually.. I think it's so easy to lose yourself in general.

oh, and by the way my cousin and I made vegan cookies last weekend.. w00t!

I swear, one day (soon.. maybe.) I will make vegan cookies.

it pays to live in a Penthouse Suit.

to be the only unit in the building that has rooftop access = priceless. Well, not really priceless but whatever. I spent the morning/early afternoon on my rooftop with a good book and a glass of wine (after vowing the other day to never drink again) and attempted to tan but apparently the only thing on my body that will ever tan is my face and nothing else, so fail. But oh em gee, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison is an amazing read, I totally recommend it. Next on my summer book list is The Tesseract by Alex Garland, only because it's set in Manila and my urge to be back on the Islands will only be satisfied by reading about it.

So summer school is finally over and MY summer has officially started. Hello San Francisco! I am so ready to be a tourist again. I love this city, there's always something new to see/do. Oh San Francisco, the city that pretends to not be a city. How I adore thee.

Beach hair + kanye shades + h&m dress = SUMMAAAAA TIME! <3

& I shall end this post with summer '09 national anthem. Well, mine anyway. enjoy!

Philippine Allstars 2009

Philippine Allstars 2008

Can you believe France won? FRANCE?!! I don't want to seem bias or anything but seriously? While I was watching their performance I found myself thinking "what in the world is this sh--t?!" the entire time. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself:

France R.A.F 2009

Yea, I'll admit it. THE ALLSTARS DID BETTER LAST YEAR. We should of at least placed somewhere in the top three though. ah, oh well.. there's always next year Philippines <3

His collection is described as "the gothic and the romantic entangled in a sort of disco nightmare" and all I can say is... Amazing.

if i could, i would.

Dream Wardrobe:
I've always had this obession with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. I've seen every episode of Full House, Two of a Kind, Too Little Time, The Adventures of MK&A and all of their movies. I even flew down to LA once in search of their star, took a picture with it then flew back to SF the very same day. Is that border line creepy? Anyway, I secretly wished I was skinny enough to dress like them. The whole I'm-too-hot-and-rich-to-give-a-fuck-but-I-still-look-cute kinda thing. No? Well, I think so.

Dream Ride:
I'm not really down with camping but if I went with this, I'd totally be down. Not to mention road trips and cross-country adventures! I've always wanted the luxury of just getting up one morning and driving to no where in particular; exploring a new place & meeting new people but then still being able to go home at the end of the night. So how awesome is this, everything I really want but nothing I actually need.

Dream Summer Home:
How zen would this house be? If you know me at all you'll know that one of my goals in life is to eventually buy one of the 7000+ islands in the Philippines and call it my own. And somewhere on my future island will be THIS (or something like it), overlooking the sea. I'll be in the hammock drinking a glass of wine with my future husband, Jaiden and his future little sister laying out on the sand while we all watch the sunset together.

Busy, busy, busy.

School is totally kicking my ass, it's so worth it. But no worries, I still manage to find time to roam around the city pretending to be a tourist. But then again, I seriously haven't gone around San Francisco in YEARS.

What the..

I came across this artist while doing some random googling, I thought it was weirdly awesome so I just had to share!

Gwong Osang's artwork looks as if it might be ceramic statues, but when you get closer you'll see it's actually  made up entirely of photographs. Gwon takes hundreds of photographs of one model then layers them over a mannequin. He distorts the arrangement of the photographs, playing with the idea of the truth and normality. I'd say he's a modern day Monet with a twist. What do you think?

That was her, baby this is me.

A picture says...

I am so obsessed over Lucia Holm's photography right now. Her most recent shots have a tinge of eeriness to them that I have to like, stop a tilt my head for a bit. But seriously, freakin awesome.

Check out her other stuff (and bigger prints) on her website, http://www.luciaholmphotography.com/

In the cityyy..

(^Buckshot's banyo, while Kate and Lara take a piss.)

I'm totally diggin the weather  we've been having lately, chill enough that you can wear a sweater but warm enough that I don't have to lug around a jacket.  I'm totally in love with this city, man. No wonder I can't leave it again. I'm starting to finally find the SF vibe in me, after being gone for so long. Holy crap, I might actually just have to buy myself a bike (with a basket of course).

Last night was Lara's last night in San Francisco and it was totally bittersweet. I'm gonna miss her craziness, she's definitely always the life of the party. I'm so glad that she's leaving for Boston though, and following her dreams/goals. I know so many people that hold back in life and don't take opportunities that are presented to them cuz they're too scared to go into the unknown. Leaving everything behind and jumping into a new city that you've never even been to before? Snaps for that, indeed.

So this weekend seems to be chalk-full of fashion events all over the bay, how I so wish I wasn't broke-ballin it right now. Not to mention that I've got so much running around to do this weekend for school, so exciting yet so stressful all at the same time. Oh well, yall should check it though!  http://bit.ly/ww24y

This, or that. Or nothing at all.

A friend once asked me what I'd rather have; love or loyalty.

Scenerio numero uno: Your boyfriend loves you, he's with you because of it but can NOT stay faithful.

Scenerio numero dos: Your boyfriend does NOT love you, but continues to stay, and be faithful, because he is loyal.

My answer? Loyalty. I don't care how many times you tell me that boyfriend numero uno loves me, he doesn't. In my opinion, boyfriend number two loves me more than number one ever could. Number two actually cares, and respects my feelings. He doesn't want to leave because he doesn't want to hurt me. Stupid question. Number one doesn't love me, he only loves himself.

Sound familiar? I'm sure we've all gone through this, although no one ever should.
